SEPARATION

More and more couples are residing together now without getting married or entering into a civil partnership. In the unfortunate event of the relationship breaking down, our specialist family law lawyers can advise clients on the issues that may arise on separation. These include disputes over property or other assets, whether jointly owned or in one party’s sole name.

We can advise and draft a Deed of Separation if the parties are able to agree the division of their assets on separation. If an agreement cannot be reached, an application may have to be made to the court to establish the interest, if any, a party may have in the property and / or for the property to be sold and the proceeds of sale to be divided between the parties. Our team of Family Lawyers are able to give expert advice and represent clients throughout the court proceedings if this becomes necessary.
